Integrated Communication for the people and the community

Communication is a word used to identify a phenomenon at the origin of the experience of relationships between humans, non-humans and environments.

Each of its manifestations emerges from diverse and concomitant processes that characterise existence.

What is Integrated Communication?

In jargon, the set of communication strategies that an entity employs to improve its social and economic position.

What is Integrated Communication for Irradia?

It is a way to practice and study communication by combining theory with the physical experience – organic, sensory, cognitive – of the phenomenon, interweaving storytelling, dialogic and contact practices to foster relational awareness, conscious creativity and constructive, fair, caring interaction between humans, non-humans and the environment.

The disciplinary fragmentation that guides the understanding of communication tends to distance those who approach it from an integral vision of the phenomenon

What practices and knowledge does Irradia interweaves?

Irradia interweaves concepts derived from the humanities and the arts with interaction strategies focused on deep listening and dialogue.

Involving oneself personally in exploration; starting from one’s own experience of intrapersonal, interpersonal and transpersonal relationships; critically appropriating the knowledge that the disciplines provide and sharing, is for Irradia the best way to make communication a practice for increasing relational awareness and the ability to take care of oneself, the other beings and the environment.

Irradia uses dialogue, active listening, storytelling and narrative co-construction to facilitate interpersonal and intrapersonal communication and foster learning and resolution processes based on relational awareness.

Does Irradia teach techniques?

Irradia does not teach techniques or impart doctrines: she is a travelling companion with whom to discover unexpressed resources. She shares information and practices; she accompanies people to explore their own strategies of existence in the dimension of communication, the place where the relationship with other beings and the environment is realised.

What kind of activities does Irradia organise?

Irradia designs and organises learning opportunities that can take the form of individual interviews, workshops and presentations.

All people are responsible agents of their own experience and of the power they exert by communicating

By including and articulating knowledge derived from different disciplines and practices, Irradia opens up the field of observation on the phenomenon of communication and on the aspects that contribute to its definition.

What ideas inspired Irradia?

Systemic and ecological thinking; the Gestalt and transpersonal approach to relationships; experiential learning; anti-specism; the view of the subject as a relational entity determined by multiplicity and difference.
